Supporting humanity

Eyeround Food Foundation is a charitable organization that strives to fight hunger, especially in impoverished communities in Africa.

We at the Eyeround Foundation have chosen to act to be that life preserver of hope for those who desperately need it. We have been a 501C registered organization in operation since 2019. In support of our vision to feed the hungry one meal at a time, our most urgent project is in northeast Nigeria, where many people go hungry every day. The Eyeround Foundation believes that we can all work together to create a world where no one goes to bed hungry. The Eyeround Foundation provides hungry people with nutritious and high-quality food, giving their bodies the nutrients and vitamins that they need to stay healthy. Ultimately, we want to eradicate extreme hunger, starvation, and malnutrition in children. We fight these problems by distributing food to poor communities every day through our emergency relief center.

While it’s true that Nigeria has one of the world’s highest economic growth rates, averaging 7.4%, poverty remains at 33.1% in Africa’s biggest economy. Nigeria has overtaken India as the country with the most significant number of people living in extreme poverty – an estimated 87 million Nigerians – roughly half of the country’s population. Those in poverty are living on less than $1.90 a day. Americans spend more than that on coffee in a single day! The Eyeround Food Foundation’s goal is to feed these people and help lift them out of poverty. And that’s what we are doing on a day-to-day basis. You may be asking yourself if our efforts are making a difference in the lives of the children we serve. I can tell you we do.
Impact story
One example of us making a difference is a little girl named Kubra. Kubra lives in a small village in rural Northern Nigeria with her four siblings and her parents. Her parents have saved up money to send her to school – she knows that she is lucky because of this. Not all children in Nigeria have this privilege. However, there are weeks when she comes to school with an empty belly, which – as we know – makes it harder for Kubra to concentrate when she is distracted by thoughts of food and the grumbling of her stomach.

When Eyeround first entered Kubra’s life, she was ten years old. In the beginning, she didn’t know what to make of our volunteers in their bright shirts when they began handing out food containers. Over time, Kubra’s family sees an improvement in Kubra and her siblings, as they have more energy and come home from school wanting to run and play.

Kubra is now a teenager and will soon graduate from Grammar school to begin studying to be a teacher. She chose this career because she wants to help more children like her, growing up in poverty and not knowing where to get their next quality meals. Thanks to the Eyeround Food Foundation, she focused her energy on her education and began to work toward her dreams and fulfill her passion for helping others.

Kubra’s story is one of many the Eyeround Food Foundation can share about how our efforts help children and families in Africa struggling with poverty. Our emergency relief center also stands by to provide support to families who have lost their livelihoods or who have suddenly found themselves unable to afford food. The workers and volunteers also provide food to those recovering from chronic diseases, such as TB, HIV, Diabetes, etc., who cannot afford nutritious meals.

As you can imagine, our efforts require funds to help the schools, feed these children, and provide our emergency support services. We seek help from businesses, individuals, and the government to be a financial partner with us and become part of the solution for the impoverished people in this part of Africa. Will you help us fulfill our role in being a life preserver of hope? We need your help to broaden the number of people we can serve and deepen our supplies to keep our emergency relief center stocked and operational.

Current Projects

Community Nutrition and Feeding Project

Millions of people live in extreme poverty in Africa. Many on paid employment are losing their jobs due to Covid-19 and the harsh economic downturn post-Covid-19. EFF provide quality fresh food to individuals in need in a sustainable manner by creating a holistic approach with the help of our partners. We work with individuals, organizations, and governments to create a society where no one goes to bed hungry. Our CONUT projects have transformed the lives of many children, young women, widows, households, and those recovering from chronic diseases in the communities in Africa. Check our impact story page.

Your generous donations will make it possible to reach more poorest underserved people living in crowded urban slums, remote mountain villages, and other hard-to-reach locations where poverty is rampant in Africa.

With your generous donation, we can scale our feeding provisions for families who reach us for critical feeding support. We accept a gift of dry food items to increase our Emergency Food Bank for every feeding program we undertake throughout the year.

You can be the heroes and heroines on the front lines of the post-COVID-19 hunger crisis in Africa

Feeding humanity with food that has nutrients

Eyeround Food Foundation’s primary goal is to feed people by providing them with good quality food. We also provide access to food through Empowerment for Women and Girls, Recovery and Back to the Community program to people recovering from chronic diseases, such as Tuberculosis (TB), HIV, obesity, etc., Youth Skills Acquisition programs, and Sustainable Agricultural programs to make it easier to grow their food.

School Feeding Project

We have provided no-cost food to over 2,000 children in need in Africa during the past year.

Many children are hungry in Africa! We focused on eradicating hunger and malnutrition in children through our partnership programs with schools.

School children cannot learn appropriately with starvation and lack nutritious foods. They receive our feeding support in the low-income schools, and after schools we serve.

Our partner organizations and individuals provided food and support for more than 2,000 children in need in Africa during the past year. Help us feed more kids this year by donating!
Your donation will provide life-saving food for children at risk. These children are orphaned, and some are from underserved families. You can share your kindness with a child today.

Zero Hunger Advocacy

We are a non-profit organization with a mission to combat domestic hunger. Our Zero Hunger Campaign is to create massive awareness that draws the attention of stakeholders to collaboratively refocus and review the new hunger challenges occasioned by natural disasters, conflict, unemployment, and other root causes of hunger in Africa. We also resolve community discrimination against those recovering from TB, HIV, and other chronic diseases. Through training, notes, one-on-one dialogue, house-to-house awareness, we do community sensitization to make it possible for those recovering from chronic illnesses to fully integrate back to the community as normal humans to work and do business. You can donate or support the movement. You can as well volunteer with us from any part of the world you are currently living in.
